Oriana Poindexter is a photographer, scientist, free diver, and surfer based in Leucadia, CA.
Her underwater photographs are made on one breath of air, free diving with a Nikonos camera and 35mm film. They attempt to illustrate the reverie of the Pacific Ocean, seen from below - silent but so alive, serene yet profoundly haunting, the depths alternately shimmering with light or impenetrable with life.
